Sorcerer players have always been expressing mixed opinions on the class since the beginning of closed beta. Many players complain of mana downtimes and feel frustrated that their low HP and cloth armour make them easy targets in ganks and mass PvP. Mixed reviews also mean that Sorcerers havent been on NCsofts radar as a class to neither nerf nor boost -- which, as Spiritmaster players would tell you Vindictus gold is a positive thing. The fun part about rifting is the limitation. Unlike open world PvP where youre always going to get attacked by opponents while doing quests the rifting system makes such encounters limited and a needed change. Also, most people who rift want to finish quests (spy quests) so they usually just want to get the job done first then maybe skirmish with their opponents
Its hard to imagine Spiritmasters were regarded as the most powerful class in fast to level, great in PvP. The summons always had terrible AI but their high damage and utility made up for Vindictus online gold. Unfortunately, the nerf hammer came down hard, and in CBT3 they were reduced to becoming the least played class in the game. Its hard to say what open beta will look like for Spiritmasters. Although NCsofts lead developer has said that there will be changes, balancing for summoning classes is notoriously tricky and its likely that NCsoft will tread carefully as to not repeat their mistake. As possibly the most complex class in Vindictus, however, there will always be players that are up for the challenge that this class presents.
