If you did not do the quests , it is time to pull out your net, and get on over to Draynor Village. Youll be catching shrimp/anchovies to 20 Fishing. I recommend cooking your fish. Along with fishing, you could get cooking up. Simple enough, right? Still want to go on with Fishing? Now, youll be starting if not the fastest, the second fastest Mabinogi Gold in the game. Now, its time to start the second best XP in the game. Fly Fishing. At 20 you will only be able to catch trout. Soon to follow, you can catch Salmon. If you havent done Shilo Village, I strongly suggest doing it. If you refuse to, or cannot complete it, fish it at Barbarian Village. Why F2P? Because there are always people chopping the trees and making Mabinogi online gold. If you do not wish to cook them (which I recommend) you could give them to lower levels.
After 48, you have a decision to make. Stay Fly Fishing or move on to Barbarian Heavy Rod Fishing. What do I recommend? Fly Fishing, but hey, thats just me. This isnt my favorite type of fishing. I honestly dislike it. But if you wish to do it, then you must talk to Otto (or Grotto, whatever his name is) and ask him about it. You will have to search the bed I believe it is, and get the rod. Make sure you have a knife with you. After catching some fish, chop them up. You will then use it as bait. Ok, so this is the method I recommend when going for 99 Fishing. It requires Swan Song done, although. You will be catching Monk fish at Picosturis(wrong spelling?) Fishing Colony. You will make good money, and get good xp for the money you will make.
