One must only look at the current economy of the U.S or take a business 101 class to understand exactly what a billion dollar business such as Blizzard will do in a completely monopolized market in which they have complete control about Mesos.
Some of these players have a decent history, but their current 3v3 rating (correct me if I am wrong) is not even of top 50 level. For some time, there was reason to believe that some tournaments were not even going to happen (and no, they were not rumors). Based on messages directly from various sponsor leaders and players, there was reason actual evidence of a lot of doubt surrounding Blizzard coming through with a TR. It honestly does not matter anymore at this point whether they do or not. If they buy Maple Story mesos, what will they do about the ridiculous exploits/bugs on various maps? Live tournaments might be able to outlaw certain actions, such as breaking over the gate on RoV, or sapping before it drops. Dalaran could be next. All the same bull will still be in play, and there is no reason to believe that the general RNG aspect of the pillars and waterfall will not have a negative impact on the outcome on a number of matches. Not to mention that the general design of RoL stealth classes in the beginning.
